How long I can get a secured credit card after a collection is reported on my credit report?

I begin to rebuild my credit after paying all my bills my score went up 100 points in two months. So I'm trying to be very diligent and try to follow working to improve it. I had a collection published by me a couple of days when I paid in progress to get it removed. But it is paid. How much I have time to wait if the collection is held for a secured credit card. My score has just reached 600 after being 465. I have only one open account (capital one) and two closed (Macys, Chase) and it is. I have been denied credit, but havent tried within a year. Applying for a secured card is different from a regular application.
