compare interest free credit cards uk
What credit card should I get? (UK people only)?

This will be my first credit card. I’ve gone to compare the market and money supermarket but to be honest i don’t really understand what the best one is. I basically want to use it to go on holiday and then pay it off within a few months, so I guess i want interest free for the first few months?? I don’t really understand what APR is or what balance transfers are. Can someone explain it to me in laymans terms. I appreciate anyone taking the time to do so. Thank you :D

As you are not transferring a balance from another credit card you can ignore balance transfer rates.
Interest free for the first 6 or more months is what you want for your circumstances.
If you are not going to pay off your balance within that time make sure you get one with a low APR.
APR is the amount of interest you pay on the money you owe. The higher the APR the more interest you have to pay.
Double check to see if there is a charge for using the card abroad as some do.
