What is the difference between an open order and completed orders in AMAZON?

I bought three products from amazon.com. I put all them in my cart and accepted the payment on my credit card. The thing is that only one product was charged. So I checked on my amazon account and on my order history label I found that there is one COMPLETED ORDER and the other says OPEN ORDER. What is this suppose to mean? The completed order even has a delivery estimated, but the open order only says shipping estimated. What is happening? Thanks

Open means that your items have not been sent to you yet.

Completed means that the items have been shipped to you – you may have them or they may be en route.
