In Europe in general?
First, the Bank may block your credit card. Secondly, the list may default to the Banque de France. This list can accommodate a maximum of two years at most and is basically a warning to other banks that you can not handle a credit card, and basically deny you a credit card. Although it is possible you have paid your credit card has no obligation to remove your ad (warning) from the list of Banque de France. If you have failed to honor the checks, the penalty is much more serious and can become a ban for having a bank account in France, for a maximum of five years.
