Credit Cards Wallet

Why Most Americans live outside the Credit Cards?
I am an American and I've noticed that everywhere I rarely see anyone pay cash, always have a 2-5 Credit Cards in your wallet. What's the deal with this? I wonder what would happen if we take the ability to pay anything with a credit card to the U.S. for 2 months. I bet you couldnt pay her car, which couldnt pay for food, shelter, basics. What do you think?
I can use Credit Cards all the time, but certainly not "live" them. I live off my income , and pay Credit Cards in full each month. Not the least, not half, the total balance due. That said, never buy something with credit, I know I absolutely can not afford when the bill comes. Do not assume that just because someone uses a credit card that is not being used wisely or can not afford afford to pay in cash. I can use Credit Cards to keep my credit score for comfort. Credit Cards are a wonderful asset, provided used properly and prudently. (Thumbs down everything I want, I would like to see it hit my FICO score 825.)
