The small business or a franchise financing?

Hello, I am interested in buying a small business. I am currently a property investor roots and wants to diversify. My credit is not great, however, no bankruptcies, foreclosures, charge offs settlement or credit card in my report. My wife is also willing to help. Your credit is excellent and earns him a high five figure income. Can anyone here give me some guidance? A friend suggested this and had excellent luck in their responses. Thanks, Pete!
