lost or stolen Credit Cards?
I’m checking my credit report and my cards that were “lost or stolen” are listed as such, but months later they are still listed on my credit report. Is this information negligible or does it lower my scores at all? In other words, is it worth the hassle to call up the bureaus to have them removed entirely?
The notation that a card was “lost or stolen” doesn’t hurt your credit scores. It’s merely a notation of record. The only time a card with such an entry will hurt you will be if delinquencies related to a stolen card remain on your report.
