How thieves use a credit card number found to steal from you?

I work for a credit card processor WHeR I am selling new machines credit card. Here is my question, some of the older machines of these traders use print out the number total credit card, expiration date and name of the client. I understand and do not want my information on a receipt, but I'm having trouble understanding how a person could have my credit card and spend on it? If you go on the Internet to buy something, your IP will get trapped and need the 3 digit code on the back of the card to complete a transaction. If you go to a store, have to convince the cashier for HandKey card number and have to take risks to be seen on camera. So how is this a big problem? What can really make a thief do with the number?

depends of how they got number. if someone gets physical card number online and then will just use a public computer, such like the library to make the purchase. if the card is in your hand that will take all of 1 second to read the 3 digit code on the back and remember it. some of people are great with numbers and was able to memorize the number of care all in a matter of seconds. if they run your card through a card reader then simply be reproduced in the blanks later. this is the preferred method these days because wherever you go there is a self-service terminal for you to spend the card so the thief will not even have to show the card to the cashier. As for the cameras. Most people who run 45-50 minutes from the house of OT to commit fraud can not fish, even though his face is on a camera, since there is a recognition of the individual. is why so many people are doing this, because it is not as easy as you think you catch a professional thief.
