Unsecured Student Credit Cards For Bad Credit
Whats the best way to fix bad credit after starting originally from No Credit?
I’ve never had credit but recently have been denied a credit card because of my credit history. I’ve never had credit EVER, but once my bank over drafted and I forgot to pay it before I moved to the east coast I was told I had a bad credit history. What can I do to change that or to gain Good Credit? Especially if I’m working part-time and paying off my student loans, if that helps? I’ve heard of unsecured/secure Credit Cards, I’m not sure which one it was but it’s the one that doesn’t need a credit check. Would I qualify for that??
If you didn’t get approved for a credit card, I wouldn’t suggest you apply for another. Most likely, you will be declined again.
You need to get a copy of your credit report (http://www.annualcreditreport.com) and see what your bad credit is. If you overdrafted at a bank and never paid them back, you might be in ChexSystems. You may need to pay that back, depends on how old it is.
Also, if you are working part time, that would hurt your chances on getting a credit card, unless you are making a full time wage.
The only card you most likely will be able to get is a secured card.
